The Weight Watchers Diet is a reduced calorie and low-fat diet. The diet premise is to reduce caloric and fat intake to less than the body burns in a 24 hour period - thus producing weight loss.
They have two plans; the flex plan where all food has a certain number of points, and the core plan where certain foods are considered okay, you simply count the points of foods not deemed core.
This diet works well for anyone wanting to eat low-cal and low-fat. This plan has been working for people for decades and continues to be successful.
In addition to eight glasses of water a day, the Weight Watchers Diet encourages foods such as lean meats (limiting red meat to once a week), fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains with the occasional helping of nuts.
The Weight Watchers plan follows recipes that are low-calorie and low-fat; this way of cooking and combining foods means lots of flexibility in prepare meals and snacks. This is a great diet for those who like to cook.
